We are entirely self-funded, meaning we must raise all funds ourselves to cover all ongoing costs, whether education activities, insurance, tree planting or on-going management. Whilst we’ve been fortunate to receive funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, we must make Gifford Woods financially sustainable by 2024.

To sign up now, as we’ve said, there are two ways you can join:

1. You can now become a Friend online by clicking here. This will take you to our CAF (Charities Aid Foundation) Friends sign-up page, from which you can set-up secure online payments either monthly or annually, at any level you choose.
2. Alternatively, you can download the sign-up form by clicking here, then you just need to email or post it to us.

Either of these will register you as an official ‘Friend of Gifford Woods’ and one of our volunteers will be in touch with you by email to thank you for your support and give you a Gifford Woods car sticker.

The Friends scheme has been going for nearly two years and we are delighted that we now have over 70 people making regular donations, giving us nearly £10,000 every year.

But do remember…everyone in the village is already a member of Gifford Community Woodland, has a vote at our AGM and a say in how we care for the woods. But by becoming a Friend, you will be helping preserve the woods to enjoy now and into the future.
