Please park in the village and walk to the woods

All visitors to the woods must park in Gifford Village centre, which is just a 5-10 minute walk away. We respectfully ask that you do not park anywhere on the track by the woods, or the nearby roads leading to the woods. We are doing our best to ensure that the activities of the Gifford Community Woodland do not cause frustration for local residents. Thank you for your consideration.

Walking trails: The site is mostly level with all-ability paths cut between the trees and benches every 300 metres.

Access: Open access

CYCLISTS please keep to sensible speeds, avoid heavy braking / skids and dismount to allow others to pass.
HORSE RIDERS please use the woodland as an occasional destination rather than every day. We advise riders to only walk horses, sticking to bigger tracks such as the old railway line. Please dismount and clear any dung from paths
DOG OWNERS: Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please bag and bin it!

Grazing animals: There are no grazing animals in the woodland, but can be in neighbouring properties.

Last spotted in the woods: We hope you enjoy your visit to Gifford Community Woodland. Please do let us know about the wildlife you spot in the woods, and we’ll share your findings here. Even better, send us photos of your findings or tag us on Instagram with #lastspottedingiffordwoods and we’ll share those too!
